Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Berkeley, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 amβ2:30 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. SO GOOD! Everything we ordered was great, standout was the beef and papaya salad.

Heard about this restaurant from Check Please on KQED and I finally got to try it out. The food and especially the Pad Thai was very tasty! Recommend if you're in the area. This is a very tiny restaurant so don't expect it to house a large group.

I had their fried chicken and Roti, which came with fried chicken thigh, roti, sweet chili sauce, curry sauce, and pickled cucumber. Everything tasted really good. The fried chicken was juicy, tender, and cooked to the perfect level of crispiness. For the sauces, I liked their curry sauce more because it had more complex flavors from the spices. The roti was like a huge puff which was really interesting because I have neven seen it prepared that way elsewhere. The only downside was it's a bit greasy. Other than this, everything tasted great!

Great very authentic Thai food. Everything is very fresh and the restroom lives up to the "funky" name! We really enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the fried chicken + roti special was also fantastic. Allow a bit of extra time for parking!
